(Via tcetoday.com) Petronas, Malaysia’s state-owned oil and gas firm, has awarded US$486m contract to Samsung construction and trading to build a liquified natural gas regasification terminal in the country. Work on the project is expected to be complete by late 2017 and The LNG will be used to feed Petronas’ controversial Pengerang Integrated Petroleum Complex (PIPC) in Johore. The complex, due to be fully operational in 2019, will include a large scale world class refinery and petrochemical complex which is estimated to cost US$27bn.
